Hello world!

14 Oct

So…. The idea behind this blog is to give me a good public push towards actually achieving my big exciting goal! Which is… (drum roll please) to have a super-cute and awesome online business, selling adorable handmade baby clothes. No small feat.

In the spirit of full disclosure, it’s also likely to include plenty of ramblings from my late night trawls of Amazon, links to exciting fabric and yarn, and a variety of other tangential posts!

I am lucky enough to have a wonderfully domesticated family, and my childhood resembles something from an Enid Blyton book. My mum trained as a chef, and taught me to cook and bake, and my sister and I spent summers with our grandparents. Both of my grandmothers were crafters, and between them I was taught to sew, knit and embroider. My grandads also¬†taught me to hand-rear lambs and chop wood for kindling, but that’s a whole different story…

My appreciation of cake started early!

I started crafting in earnest last year when I was pregnant with my beautiful squidgybaby. It has been said that if it were possible, the baby herself would have been knitted and sewn.

So, the plan is to have a marvellous Etsy shop, and be able to be home with my gorgeous girl all day long.

Don't you just want to squidge those little legs?

Wish me luck!!
